Roxybot is a celebrity body guard turned 80’s rock star robot. She is sassy, opinionated, ambitious, and a little out there. She is working on her first album which is a blend of electropunk and folktronica.

Roxybot is also a plush doll created by Stuffed Robot in 2005. Stuffed Robot is a company of sorts formed by three people, Jessie Vogel, Patrick Moberg, and me, Bill Brown. We make a lot of things, but we mainly work on plush robots. Even though we first started doing this in 2005, this year (2009) we decided to take a different route and re-launch each of our toys for a final last hurrah. We re-launched 100 Mellowtrons in early Febuary, and we are now working on our next design, Roxybot. This tumblr is a place for anyone to see how we go from design, to production, to the website with the stuff we make, in this case Roxybot the punk rock robot.

Roxybot’s original story is below. At the time we called her ‘Pinkbot’ - because she was pink.

Pink Robot was made in the 80s as a security guard for punk rock concerts. One day Pink Robot became fed up with order and control and took to the stage. Her distorted robotic voice mesmerized the punk rock scene and she became a quick success. Her first single, escalator to heaven, was number one on the charts for 6 straight weeks. However, her music career came to a fall out when she began a deep relationship with Blue Robot. Pink Robot became conflicted between her love for Blue Robot and her love for punk rock, breaking her heart in half. In her confusion she hastily dumped Blue Robot and ran off looking for comfort.

RoxyBot knows how to Rock! She can dance and sing all the way to the top of the charts. Her most favorite instrument is the Electric Guitar. She likes it so much she had one constructed on her chest plate! Roxybot loves to play music so much that she forgot about her best friends Angrybot and MellowTron! She spends her days rockin’out like a crazy lady but she is beginning to feel very lonely and misses her robofriends. She needs a buddy bad!
